02 – Production

PRODUCTION OF PRECISION MECHANICAL COMPONENTS FOR THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY


Here at Kalman Manufacturing, we produce a large amount of small mechanical components and detailed sub-assemblies to a variety of industries, namely the healthcare and medical device sectors.These types of devices must be non-corrosive, yet strong and flexible enough to meet the high demands and specifications required by the medical device industry.

Kalman Manufacturing has developed a specialty in precision plastic machining and we are able to achieve extremely tight tolerances using durable, high density plastic. We are constantly investing in technology upgrades, including high capacity 5-axis CNC machines and robotic technologies to maintain our status as a leader in medical device manufacturing. DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURING


Design for Manufacturing (otherwise known as DFM), is the process of designing a part or component to be easily made and in a repeatable fashion. DFM is one of our core competencies here at Kalman Manufacturing. From engineering, prototyping, and designing the part, to selecting the type of material used, our expertise ensures that your part excels in application it’s designed for. Furthermore, we will walk through all the compliance testing steps with you, and even assist in supply chain support in order to make the delivery process easy and stress-free.

04 – Mechanical Assembly

MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY


Here at Kalman Manufacturing, we take pride in our ability to deliver final products exactly how they were designed. In order to do so, we’ve developed a mechanical assembly team to ensure that we are not just producing individual components for a part, but also assembling those components into the final product. We provide a guarantee on the quality and precision of our parts. This attention to detail encompasses all facets of our operation and it contributes greatly to our ability to design for manufacturability. Our team analyzes the application is for the part and works with you to deliver it to spec. Our on-site assembly team helps you save time and cost on the delivery of a final product.

05 – Finishing

VAPOR POLISHING AND FINISHING


In order to be able to deliver parts on time to simplify your supply chain, in most cases we also conduct the final finishing process. For many of our medical devices, vapor polishing (a method for smoothing out certain kinds of plastics at the microscopic level) is a process that is often requested and highly necessary per the application. Vapor polishing makes the plastic highly transparent, and is one of the best ways to achieve this type of finish for unique situations. Some of these applications include optical quality lenses, cases emitting light diodes, and smoothing out tool marks to clear unwanted material from pumps and other pressurized components. In addition, vapor polishing gives off a very clean, glossy, and professional look to finished parts. Kalman Manufacturing also conducts many other finishing services depending on the material being machined.
